Spanish Coach Appointed as Head Coach of Turkey's National Men's Handball Team

Spanish coach Oliver Roy Camino has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Turkish National Men's Handball Team.

In a statement from the Turkish Handball Federation:

'We believe that the experienced coach, who has worked with various clubs, including FC Barcelona, and has won the EHF Champions League twice, will make significant contributions to our National Team.'

Who is Oliver Roy Camino?

Starting his coaching career in 2002, Spanish coach Oliver Roy Camino has worked with various teams over the years. Between 2009 and 2016, he served as an assistant coach for FC Barcelona, and from 2016 to 2019, he took on the role of second coach for the team. In 2020, he became the head coach of the Catalonia National Team, and in the 2021-2022 season, he led Zamalek SC as their head coach.

Currently, he is coaching Beşiktaş, a team competing in Turkey's Men's Super League.
