10.05.2015 Sunday – THW Kiel will visit some tourist’s hotspots in İstanbul
11.05.2015 Monday – Leaving İstanbul at 10:30 h

Possibilities for interviews could be directly at the airport, shortly on Saturday before and after the training session.

Thanks to our contact Mr. Christian Robohm, THW Kiel Press and Public Relations Manager, we get Coach Alfred Gislason’s and General Manager Thorsten Storm’s statements for the visit.

“We would like to give the increasing turkish handball a push and get in contact with some enthusiastic handball-friends in a spectacular international metropolis. For us it it a honour to be guests of Besiktas Mogaz, and we are very thankful for the chance to play in İstanbul.”

“We only have finals until the end of the season, because we are fighting for the German Championship and we are in the Semi-Final at the VELUX EHF Final4. So we were searching for a strong opponent, to make us stronger for this finish. We found a tough opponent who played a really good season in the Champions League. Many of European topclubs – like FC Barcelona, SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Orlen Wisla Plock or KIF Kolding Kobenhavn, had to fight hard to win against Besiktas Mogaz. They are building a very strong team in Istanbul. We are really looking forward to visit this cultural und historical city, which is rapidly developing. And we are glad to have a strong testing match against Besiktas Mogaz.”

Even hosting Zebras is huge, THW Kiel also gave permission to Turkish media for recording their training session.

Zebras are coming to Istanbul with the whole squad except Dominik Klein, Johan Sjöstrand -due to their injuries- and Steinar Ege.
