Thanks to our contact Mr. Christian Robohm, THW Kiel Press and Public Relations Manager, we get Coach Alfred Gislason’s and General Manager Thorsten Storm’s statements for the visit.

THORSTEN STORM – GENERAL MANAGER
“We would like to give the increasing turkish handball a push and get in contact with some enthusiastic handball-friends in a spectacular international metropolis. For us it it a honour to be guests of Besiktas Mogaz, and we are very thankful for the chance to play in İstanbul.”

ALFRED GISLASON – HEAD COACH
“We only have finals until the end of the season, because we are fighting for the German Championship and we are in the Semi-Final at the VELUX EHF Final4. So we were searching for a strong opponent, to make us stronger for this finish. We found a tough opponent who played a really good season in the Champions League. Many of European topclubs – like FC Barcelona, SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Orlen Wisla Plock or KIF Kolding Kobenhavn, had to fight hard to win against Besiktas Mogaz. They are building a very strong team in Istanbul. We are really looking forward to visit this cultural und historical city, which is rapidly developing. And we are glad to have a strong testing match against Besiktas Mogaz.”
