Snow Handball Championship Held for the First Time in Kayseri
Erciyes Ski Resort, Türkiye's largest ski center and a leading destination for sports tourism, made history on February 22 by hosting the first-ever Snow Handball Championship in Türkiye.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, emphasizing that Erciyes is a venue where various sports can be played, attended the championship and met with the athletes.
As one of Turkey’s premier winter tourism hubs, Erciyes has introduced yet another innovation to the country’s sports scene. Organized in collaboration with Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Erciyes Inc., and the Turkish Handball Federation, the championship took place at Tekir Kapı and featured 180 athletes competing in an exhilarating series of handball matches on snow.
With this event, sports enthusiasts, athletes, and participants experienced the breathtaking atmosphere of Erciyes while witnessing the introduction of snow handball to Turkey.
